Information Technology (IT) is vital to the future
of Vermont's economy and its gentle environmental footprint is consistent
with the Vermont way of life. The information technology industry,
consisting of providers of IT equipment and services, is a clean,
growing industry that provides high-paying jobs. Furthermore, in
the larger sense, information technology plays a fundamental role
through the IT user community… business, government, education,
the general public… and that role will only increase in the
future. A fundamental component of the VITC mission is to foster
a nurturing environment for information technology-one that allows
it to grow and flourish.
